Today, we’re thrilled to announce a special collaboration with Stranraer Academy, marking a significant milestone in our journey towards excellence.
Our partnership with Stranraer Academy involves three talented students: Brooke, Pippa, and Aoifa. These budding professionals will be joining us at Rowan Glen’s facility in Dumfries & Galloway as part of their SVQ Apprenticeship in Food and Drink Technologies. We’re incredibly proud to offer them real-world experience and mentorship as they embark on this exciting journey with us.
At Rowan Glen, crafting high-quality dairy products has been our passion since 1993. Following our recent transition to independent ownership by factory manager Alan Baxter, supported by the South of Scotland Enterprise, we’ve been steadfast in our commitment to our local community and ensuring a sustainable future for our business.
The opportunity to welcome these young talents into our company aligns perfectly with our values and vision. Over the course of their four-week placement, Brooke, Pippa, and Aoifa will immerse themselves in two key units: Developing a New Product in a Food Business and Promoting and Supporting Creative Thinking in a Food Business. From researching diverse foods and flavors to presenting their concepts and refining their creations through taste tests and sensory evaluations, they’ll gain invaluable insights into the product development process under the guidance of our experienced team.
